Easy-to-use mould sealer for the processing of solvent-based composites

The product was developed to seal cleaned moulds before use in production. Especially for new or porous mould surfaces, sealing with Sealer Mikon® 199 is recommended.

Consumption:
Depending on the microporosity of the mould surface, approx. 30 g/m². One can is sufficient for approx. 28 m².

Application:
Sealer Mikon® 199 should only be used in well-ventilated rooms. Before using Sealer Mikon® 199, the moulds must be thoroughly cleaned of dirt and release agent residues. Afterwards, the moulds should be washed at room temperature with a fast evaporating solvent to remove any remaining grease or wax.
Sealer Mikon® 199 is applied thinly to the mould surface with a cotton cloth. Immediately after application, the material must be polished with a second cloth. Afterwards, the mould must be treated with a release agent e.g. Mikon® 305.
