YC CLEAR COAT is a high-gloss, 1 component, traditional boat clear varnish for all wood substrates in overwater areas.
The lacquer is suitable for both interior and exterior surfaces. It is permanently elastic, weather and UV stable and offers lasting protection in marine climates. It provides a long-lasting high gloss and protects the wood from fading and yellowing. The fast-drying allows for short recoating intervals. The good flow and application properties guarantee easy and uncomplicated application.
Application:
Suitable for all wood surfaces above the waterline.

Thinning and cleaning with YC COATING THINNER
Application:
The substrate must be thoroughly clean, dry and free of grease. Old coatings must be intact and well adhered. If necessary, sand the old coating and carefully remove the sanding dust.
YC CLEAR COAT can be applied in dry weather conditions and at temperatures between +10 °C and +30 °C.
The lacquer is applied with a brush or a lacquer foam roller. For a new build, 5-6 coats are recommended for a sufficient film thickness and the associated protection.
On raw wood, the first two coats are diluted with 20 % and 10 % YC COATING THINNER respectively. Apply the following 2-3 coats undiluted. On already varnished wood, apply 1-2 renewal coats. If necessary, the flow properties can be improved by adding max. 5 % YC COATING THINNER.
The recoating interval with itself is at least 4 hours, maximum waiting time 2 days (20 °C). If the interval is exceeded, the substrate must be roughened again before further work.
