Epoxy Casting Resin EXTRA 600 + Hardener EXTRA 600, set of two components
The Epoxy Casting Resin EXTRA 600 is a special system with long pot life and low exothermicity.
- Free from phenol, alkylphenol and benzyl alcohol
- Highly transparent components
- Good UV resistance
- Largely free of air bubbles
- Polishable, hard surface
- Very good impact strength
- Low shrinkage
- Can be modified with all kinds of fillers (metal powder, effect pigments, dry sand, etc.)
- Can be coloured with transparent colours

Application:
Aquaristics, terraristics, arts and crafts, wood finishing, furniture construction (Rivertable), slides, aircraft, ship, car and railway model construction.
Processing:
The processing and curing time depends strongly on the volume applied and the ambient conditions. Therefore we cannot give any values because of the large number of variables (e.g. volumes, geometries, etc.). In our opinion, however, the processing time is sufficiently long to allow even larger grouting. Due to the reduced reactivity, the curing time is longer and is certainly several days.
The tool with which the components are stirred plays an important role in mixing the components; it should generate as little air entrainment as possible. When mixing, care must be taken to ensure that as little air as possible enters the mixture. Note: the resin component already contains an additive that promotes venting.
We recommend covering the casting to prevent dust from entering (the surface of the casting must not be touched). If necessary, the curing process can be accelerated by a slight application of heat after allowing the casting to rest overnight.
